Summit's Vetrinary Bills
Last Friday our dear friend Casey brought his 8 month old Husky, Summit, to Summit Veterinary Referral Centre, and Emergency 24/7 Vet located in Tacoma. Summit's blood work came back showing serious problems with his internal organs. His kidneys and liver were failing and are still struggling to recover.
If you've been down to Ember Goods then it's more than likely that you've seen Summit and said hello / gave him a pat and some love. He's basically our mascot, and a regular to the shop. Being pet owners ourselves, we understand how emotionally and financially draining this kind of situation can be on a pet and their owner and we would like to help in any way that we can.
The veterinarians believe that Leptospirosis is most likely the cause of his organ failure. If it's not that, they believe that he could of possibly ingested some sort of toxin. He is currently being treated for both possibilities.
Summit has currently been in Emergency 24/7 care for 3 days. As of today they expect him to there for at least another 4 days. For every day of hospitalization, the cost is $700.
If you are able, please donate towards Summit's continuing veterinary care. We would like to have Summit back, sitting out in front of the store, healthy and happy once again.
