Hi, I am Diana L. Martinez Camacho. I am an undergraduate sophomore at California State University, Maritime Academy majoring in Business Administration with a focus on International Business and Logistics. Not too long ago I got accepted to study abroad and intern in Barcelona, Spain for the 2019 Summer through the Cultural Experience Abroad Program. I plan to pursue a career in the maritime industry upon graduation in the field of business-related careers. I seek opportunities that will help me develop and wisely utilize my skills and qualifications for a better future.
What I feed my life to accomplish my goals will show through a positive attitude, staying motivated, and highly determined. I am currently a school event coordinator organizing and managing student events on and off-campus. I also play a role as a squad leader through the Corps of Cadets leading my fellow peers toward academic and leadership success. I represent the university as a cadet ambassador through volunteering engagements, alumni events, and community events. I network as a representative of the academy. In addition, I am a full-time student and juggle two jobs on campus to aid my school tuition and funding for my abroad program. During my experience abroad, I plan to intern in the logistics department of a business company or a port. Furthermore, I will be taking a class related to the maritime industry helping me fulfill my major’s curriculum. If I achieve this goal, I will be accomplishing two major requirements for my graduation; an internship and having international experience.
How are you able to support me?
I am genuinely asking for any donations to help cover my study abroad and intern program for this 2019 summer. The study abroad and intern expenses will cover tuition fee, housing, meals, books, school supplies, and airfare to my destination. I intend to earn the most I can by mid May to help pay off my international program. If not, there is a likelihood I will not be able to attend this opportunity to expand my knowledge and experience. I wholeheartedly and sincerely am thankful for any donation. You will be helping me achieve success and my career goals.
