As an ambitious and hardworking Refugee-Palestinian who does more than one job to pay for his own education and is willing to walk the extra mile to achieve his dream , I hope others can help me to fulfill what I aspire to be.
I am currently a second year student at Al-Quds University where I am studying media and T.V. I am really interested in this exchange for several reasons, but first I would like to present myself in brief; My name is Ali Okeh, and I believe that I can contribute positively in developing my society and influence my generation by using my own skills and passion in the media field, despite my relatively limited work experience, I have the ability for constant development , learning, and commitment to work.
Growing up as a refugee kid at Al-Askar camp, I didn’t know there was something called cinematography due to our life as kids in the refugee camp was so simple. I hope to gain some money to help me go study abroad with the International Class of Filmmaker Baden-Württemberg in Germany because their methods of teaching media and T.V there are really good , but unfortunately the financial state of my family is not good enough.
My ultimate dream is being someone who adds his own character to the cinema world whether locally or internationally.
Through a friend, Roua Hassan who is helping me with the financial process, she was able to introduce me to Gofundme and help start this campaign. Due to my living conditions in the refugee camp within Palestine, Roua will be the benificiary as she will easily be able to access the donations for me and ensure all my costs are appropriately covered for my studying time in Germany.
