Study Abroad Program - Ireland

A few months ago I was invited, by Pitt Business, to submit an application for a study abroad program to Ireland. I thought it was a long shot but I filled out the application and wrote the 7 (yes seven) essays that went along with it. Earlier this month I found out that I was selected to interview for a spot in the program, which was exciting to know I had made it through the initial selection process. After the interview I was informed that a decision would be made by the end of the day Jan 15th. As the 15th came and went and I never received notice. Needless to say I was disappointed, then to my surprise when I checked my email the next morning I had received an email congratulating me on my acceptance in the program! I've spent the last week debating whether or not this was something I could afford as a financially strapped college student against whether or not this was an opportunity I could afford to miss. Ultimately I decided to put the decision in the hand of the Universe. At the same time that I applied for this program I also applied for a Scholarship, and I decided that if I was awarded any amount at all it was a sign that I was to make this trip. Today I received notification that I was awarded a $1500 scholarship to go toward this program! This is amazing, but it only covers about 1/4 of the tuition for this trip. I have committed to this trip, and I humbly ask any who are in a position to help me raise the money needed for this opportunity for their assistance. If we meet the goal of $3750 it will go 100% towards my tuition which includes my flight both ways, my lodgings while in Ireland, as well as some meals and cultural activities part of the curriculum.
