Student Lunch Debt Forgiveness - 2019

Every year around Christmas time, I pay the student lunch debt for the Kindergarten students in my class whose families owe lunch money at my small, Title 1 school in the San Francisco Bay Area.  In the 11 other classes, there are 32 low-income students who are not receiving a hot lunch, due to the fact that their parents have outstanding lunch balances ranging from $1.50 to $220.90.
