The Marion Independent School District in Iowa has a policy which states students who owe over $75 for lunch cannot eat a school lunch. Beta Psi Eta, a sorority at Cornell College is working on a fundraiser to help pay off the negative lunch balances. They are in need of over $7500 to cover overdue accounts. Any amount you are willing to give will go towards a student in need.
Although this is an ongoing issue, the sooner the accounts are paid off, the sooner students can eat regularly at school.
