Student lost mom unexpectedly

Steven H. is a student at Santiago Middle School who recently lost his mother unexpectedly. Steven's mom Christina Robinson was his sole caregiver. She used to work two jobs to help provide for him as he would stay at school until she got off work in the early evening, so our staff has become very close to him. He is a sweet, kind boy with good grades and huge heart. We are all feeling the loss of his mom and our hearts hurt for him. 

The Santiago Middle School community (as well as the Chapman Hills community where he attended elementary school) want Steven to know that we all love him and are here for him as he struggles to process the loss of his beloved mother. We as a school are sending our love and prayers to Steven and are arranging for him to see a grief counselor as long as needed to help him through this tragedy. 

I am Steven's Principal at Santiago Middle School and his aunt has given me permission to share this information and help raise funds to support Steven through this GoFundMe account. I will manage this account on his behalf and make sure that all funds raised go to support Steven and his well being.
