Standing Strong for Hayley

On Thursday, April 21, Hayley Krause and another young lady (Ari) were crossing the street near their school when they were struck by a reckless driver who was eluding law enforcement. He struck the girls without stopping, speeding away and causing another accident and injury less than a half mile away. Both girls were seriously injured in this tragic hit-and-run incident and were emergently transported to the hospital.
The individual who hit these girls has no license and carries no insurance.
Hayley's father is Lieutenant Tim Krause of the Middleton Fire District. Members of his fire department family responded to the scene, treating and transporting his daughter to the hospital.
As his extended family, the members of Middleton Fire Company #1 are standing strong for both Hayley and Ari as they recover. While we are enraged at this reckless incident, we are steady and committed to supporting Hayley, the Krause family, Ari and our community.
In addition to other ongoing efforts by our fire family, we are seeking to help the Krause family with the mounting expenses involved in recovering from this awful situation. We ask that you contribute whatever you can, as soon as you can, to help the family devote their time and attention to Hayley's recovery and well-being. A separate GoFundMe account has been established for Ari by her friends and family and we encourage you to support her through "Ari's Medical Fund".
