WLH guide and good friend, Shawn Sorenson was recently diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. The same cancer he was cleared of 10 years previous. The chances of this cancer returning after 10 years are around 1% making Shawn an anomaly. An anomaly is something (or someone) that deviates from the standard, what’s normal, or what’s expected. “Shawn is truly an anomaly.” As Gunner Steele says, “He’s the kindest human I’ve ever met.”
Shawn is passionate about the outdoors, and more importantly his family. In the words of his wonderful and supportive wife Daun, “His kids are his EVERYTHING.” A young family, together they have 3 daughters and 1 son.
