Strong Fight - Andrew Jones

Andrew Jones, a devoted volunteer firefighter , Veteran , Son, Brother and loving father, and a loved member of Elysburg and surrounding communities, suddenly became ill on July 21st and subsequently was admitted to Geisinger Medical Center.  He is now fighting for his life.  He was diagnosed with Legionaries Disease.  This is a type of pneumonia caused by legionella bacteria.  He is intubated, heavily sedated and has undergone ECMO surgery.  The ECMO machine is what is supplying oxygen to his blood currently.  He is slowly showing signs of improvement but is not out of the woods as of yet and has a long road to recovery before him.  He will have his medical bills to contend with once released from the hospital's care.  Andrew's family is looking for help and support for him for when he comes home.  He will have medical bills along with everyday expenses and being a newer employee with the State he will not have the PTO or other benefits to help him through this difficult time.  Any help would be greatly appreciated so Andrew and his family can focus on his care and recovery instead of the financial burden that is in their future.
