Striking 12 - 2019

Donation protected
2017 was the inaugural year for Striking 12 with Yes, And Theatre Productions, and it was a smashing success! Thanks to all of our generous sponsors and audience members, we exceeded our fundraising goal by 103%!

Last year, our sponsors and audience members provided invaluable support to both The Atlanta Children’s Shelter and The Trevor Project. Their (your) direct involvement improved the daily lives of local children. You gave them a roof, a bed, and a voice. Because of your contribution, our production of Striking 12 exceeded its initial fundraising goal by 103%.

100% of all net revenue was donated to the charities above, and we look forward to increasing our impact this year. Your contribution is essential.  Now, we are aiming for 206% and we are counting on your help.

This year we plan to remount Striking 12 at Actor’s Express, an award-winning theatre company in Atlanta. As individuals, we have worked with and for them countless times. As a producing entity, we are honored by their investment in us and are eager to show you the results of such a dynamic collaboration.  Shows will take place on the evenings of December 29th, 30th, and 31st (show on the 31st to be followed by a countdown to the New Year).

As a philanthropy-centered production company, our group of artists relies on the support of individuals and businesses like yours to help support our annual New Year’s extravaganza. This year all proceeds will go to the Alliance for Freedom, Restoration and Justice supporting their continued efforts to eradicate human trafficking.

Atlanta currently ranks as America’s most profitable, most dangerous, and busiest hub city for human trafficking. Help us fix that. Let us help you fix it. Let us help you contribute to the AFRJ’s mission to make Atlanta a safe space for children and young people in crisis.

We look forward to your being the reason we exceed this year’s goals by 206%.

If you are interested in supporting our fundraising efforts, you can donate on our GoFundMe, or email me at [email redacted] for additional donation methods. If you are unable to donate but would like to support the company in another way, please contact me to receive additional information regarding ad sponsorship and volunteer opportunities.

You can read more about this delightful holiday musical below:

On New Year's Eve, an over-worked and under-inspired single guy who’s had enough of holiday cheer makes a resolution: to stay home and go to bed early. On another New Years Eve, a continent away and more than a century earlier Hans Christian Andersen's Little Match Girl tries unsuccessfully to sell her matches in the snow. The two stories are brought together when a young woman selling special full-spectrum holiday light bulbs to combat Seasonal Affective Disorder shows up at the grumpy man's door.

Though the man (who probably could use the bulbs) seems to enjoy the young woman's company, he sends her away. It's not until he reads The Little Match Girl that he is finally pulled out of his funk. Through simple, unpretentious theater created through the voices and instruments of the performers, Striking 12 reminds us that the world looks like new on the first day of the year.'
