Street kids of Uganda

Everything happens for a reason right? and you clicking on this link is a clear sign that you are exactly where you're meant to be and in-turn could lead to dramatically affecting the lives of homeless children living on the streets of Africa.
In December, l will be travelling to Uganda to help provide shelter for the homeless children living in the slums of Kampala. Since being a little girl this cause has always sat close to my heart, but never have I found an organisation which I truly trust to gift donations up until now. That organisation is 'Uprising'.
It's my intention to raise $2000 before November and then fly to Uganda to personally gift the funds raised, whilst offering hands on support. Uprising helps homeless children living on the streets by providing a nurturing, supportive environment for the kids to live in.
One year ago, Uprising began to make a dream transformation centre for the street kids in Kisenyi a reality, renting a very small shelter for refuge from the chaos of the streets. It is a place where children can sleep safely without fear of being harmed in the night and prepare for the opportunity to either resettle with family or move into our Saving Grace home on a permanent basis.
Uprising has started to create in this place, despite the inadequate environment and we know that so many more children's lives can be changed through this special place.
Our hope is to move the shelter to a bigger place with room for more beds, a sick bay and space for having program for the street kids where they will hear that they are loved and can have a different future for the first time ... until they begin to believe it for themselves.
Funds raised will be used to purchase beds, mattresses, blankets, mosquito nets, food, clothing and medical care for these children, who are struggling to survive on the streets. We can't wait to see who they can become when given the chance for a new life.
