In celebration of Storm’s Birthday, we want help provide other animals with a 2nd Chance at life. Every day loving, healthy, highly adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in America’s municipal shelters because overcrowded shelters run out of kennel space.
“Wing of Rescue” is a charity founded in 2012, that flies endangered pets from high intake and/or high kill shelters to no-kill shelters from where they have all been adopted into loving homes. Since then, they have flown over 26,000 pets to safety
They’re an only all-volunteer organization to fly this number of pets to safety. The work is funded completely from donations. They rely upon these donations and the incredible generosity of volunteer pilots, and the fabulous no-kill shelters and rescue groups across North America to save shelter pets’ lives. With your help, the sky is truly the limit to how many we can save.
The last few missions they've completed include rescuing animals during Hurricane Harvey in TX and Puerto Rico, and flying a plane carrying 128 pets from Louisiana's overcrowded shelters to no-kill facilities in the Colorado Springs and the Spokane areas.
