Storm Repair

I love this picture! This describes the essence of what Kenbrook is - sharing the incredible news about Jesus with the campers and guests that grace our grounds! This summer over 900 children have come through Kenbrook Bible Camp to experience the gift of intentionality around four key relationships: God, self, others and nature.

It may seem a bit ironic that our summer theme was Vortex and we talked about the different types of storms that we encounter in life. Especially when, during our last week of camp, we received record rainfall which resulted in massive damage to Kenbrook's grounds.

Unfortunately, it is standard for insurance policies not to cover "the ground" and we are left with damage to our entrances, driveways, banks, bridges and trails. 

The biggest damage and the greatest need for repair is at our entrances and our driveways. Heavy rain caused streams to erode away the banks and the culverts which make some of them impassable. 



Fixing these areas will require concrete, stone and rip rap to build back up these entrances. Banks along the driveway will also require the same thing. And as you can imagine - this was not a budgeted item. The amount we are raising is consistent with a repair estimate that we received from an excavation company. So any help that you can lend will go a long way for us to get Kenbrook squared away!
