Storm recovery Nova Iguacu Brazil

Donation protected

On the 25th of October 2019 there was a devastating storm in Nova Iguacu, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The hailstones ranging between the size of a golf ball to a football in diameter. Many people did not survive but those that did have been left with severe damage to their homes. The cost of recovering is too high for the families in this area and they need our help to start over.

I am opening this campaign because my mother and father in law and their children have lost their homes, the repairs required are so bad that we need urgent help to make sure the children are safe and have a roof over their head.

The hailstones poured down for 20 minutes and ripped through the roof of the property damaging all of the contents of the house and injuring my father in law who is 73. There are 8 of them 4 of which are young children and they were forced to turn the bed upwards and shield themselves from the storm.

The roof has been completely distroyed. All eletrical items have broken due to water damage, the bed slats have broken in half and the walls to the property have cracked under the pressure.

We are in need of any help we can get to rebuild and repair and hope that we can find a positive.

Sending love and support to any one else who has been affected by this tragedy we hope that you are all safe and well. For those that were not so lucky we send our condolences to you and your family.

Any donations however big or small will be massively appreciated.
