Google Chromebooks

We at Saint James-Saint John School, share a common mission of faith development, academic excellence, and a genuine sense of community.  Our goals are to develop sound, moral and spiritual values, an awareness of peace and justice issues and a real concern for others in our community and world.

            Our school plans to use whatever funds that might be appropriated in our building for purchasing an additional Google Chromebook cart with 30 Google Chromebooks for use in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 and also beginning incorporate Blended Learning as a new means to Education.  We presently have 230 students who use our computers daily.  Our very competent computer teacher has challenged our students beyond our expectations and they realize the importance of technology and how it correlates with education.  Students have mastered the use of Google Classroom and google Apps for Education, in our middle school grades and our younger students are becoming quite involved with their word processing skills and surfing the internet.  It is our intent to help make all our students proficient in computer literacy and have 1 to 1 ratio for technology with our students. 

            We strongly feel as an institution of learning, we need to provide to all our students, the tools they will need to be successful in tomorrow’s world.  Technology will be absolutely essential for all of them and that is the reason for our focus on any funds appropriated will go towards improving our classrooms.   We hope that you can assist us with this matter and look forward to discussing any possibilities with you in the future.  Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
