Hurricane Harvey Search & Rescue
Donation protected
The South Texas Hurricane Harvey Response Group is a volunteer group of emergency medical providers, security specialists, first responders, search and rescue professionals, and military veterans preparing to assist in Search and Rescue efforts in Houston. We have secured the cooperation of White Cloud Drones, a federally licensed drone company out of San Antonio, to provide aerial thermal reconnaissance, an invaluable asset in the current flood conditions.
Benchmarks to the goal are as follows:
$12K - 1 boat; motor; navigation, communication, safety, and rescue equipment; night vision/thermal imaging equipment; food, water, and medical supplies; 2-3 personnel
$20K - 2 boats; motors; navigation, communication, safety, and rescue equipment; night vision/thermal imaging equipment; food, water, and medical supplies; 4-6 personnel
$40K - 2 boats; motors; navigation, communication, safety, and rescue equipment; night vision/thermal imaging equipment; thermal aerial reconnaissance support; food, water, and medical supplies; 7-9 personnel
$60K - 4 boats; motors; navigation, communication, safety, and rescue equipment; night vision/thermal imaging equipment; thermal aerial reconnaissance support; food, water, and medical supplies; 1-11 personnel
Time is a priceless asset in Houston right now. Every hour the waters are rising, and people are in dire need of help. The South Texas Hurricane Harvey Response Group is ready and able to help the residents of Houston, but we need your help to procure the items we need in time to get there and do some good. Any help you give will go toward equipment, supplies, and a small allotment to support volunteers' family while they're away. More importantly, you could save a life. All unused funds will be donated to Direct Relief, a humanitarian organization providing supplies to the relief effort.
