Steven's Kidney transplant fund

On October 6th 2014 I took my husband to the hospital because his legs were so swollen, red, and all he wanted to do was sleep. After hours of waiting and all the tests, we found out he had 10% kidney function. He had to start dialysis immediately and they placed a catheter in his chest. He stayed in the hospital for 9 days. At that time he had just started a new job 3 months prior and we had just moved as well. Financially we haven't been able to catch up. Every time we get caught up Steven ends up back in the hospital. When he 1st did his transplant eval he was approved pending weight loss. On January 2016 we switched to my insurance as his didn't cover gastric bypass. On April 2016 he had his surgery! We were so excited for this, but it was short lived as the rapid weight loss and dialysis didn't mix. For about a month Steven was in and out of the hospital because he couldn't walk or stand without falling or passing out. We purchased a shower chair just for him to take a shower and he fell down the stairs and 911 was called.,His BP was in the high 70's to low 80's. His amazing nephrologist found the right combination of pills to keep his blood pressure up and he was able to function. July he had another set back and had his big toe amputated. August the 2nd toe was amputated. In September he was evaluated again for transplant and was approved!!!! We are looking for a live donor right now and trying to prepare financially. This money would help when he's out of work, prescriptions, and will help to pay the bills so nothing gets turned off and we don't get evicted.
