026 Army, help Coach Steve Major!

Donation protected
Many people think of Steve Major as the "goalie coach" for Rockwood Summit, where he was a vital part of the coaching staff for the boys 2016 State Championship and the girls 2018 State Championship. As a former player for Summit, I can tell you that the players in the 026 have a much greater connection and appreciation for Steve than those accomplishments could ever represent. While the Summit Soccer program has been a big part of his life these past few years, all of the playoff performances combined don't add up to the battle that Steve now faces. Steve- the loving father, brilliant coach, and loyal friend has been tasked with his next big opponent: a brain tumor.

While we know Steve has fought through tremendous adversity in the past and we are confident that he will find a way to do so again, this is going to be tremendously taxing both emotionally and financially on Steve, his family, and his close friends.

Likewise for a teacher, a coach and instructor is a job that is done out of sheer passion, and is not done with much regard to obtaining a large paycheck each week. With that in mind, we know that this upcoming process is one that is going to be very difficult to financially cope with.

As a proud member of the 026 Army, I know that we can rally the troops and assist our wounded soldier. Please consider making any contribution possible, it will be accepted with great gratitude - big or small.

If you have get well cards or would like to extend your wishes of well being, such cards can get sent to Lynne Borgerson, 1115 Majestic Drive Fenton, MO 63026.

Out of the request of Steve, we ask that you do not discuss such troubles with Steve directly, as this is a very difficult subject.

If you have any questions about this campaign please contact me, Jake Wesley, directly at [phone redacted] or via email at [email redacted]. I am a Summit Soccer alum and former player of Steve, and have been working closely with him so that the money gets to him quickly and so that he may pay his medical bills (Each time I receive a payment from Gofundme, I personally give him the funds).

Steve Major, his family, and the entire 026 Army are very grateful for your thoughts and donations. Thank you for your help in this tough time.
