On Tuesday July 18th, my father was at Home Depot on Telegraph in Taylor when he tripped over a completely empty palette that had be left in the outside garden area. He was sent to the hospital by ambulance, and is pretty bruisded/banged up from the fall. The force of the impact when my Dad hit the concrete knocked his dentures out of his mouth. They broke when they hit the pavement.
This has not been a good year and a half for my Dad. He has been battling stage 4 throat cancer, and because of this, weight loss has been a huge issue.
My Dad can not afford to lose anymore weight, which will absolutely happen if he can not eat due to a lack of dentures, let alone the fact that this will impact his dignity when out in public. My parents also can not afford the 3,000 to 4,000 dollar cost to replace his dentures. My father is 64 years old and already struggling under the weight of his chemo and radiation bills.
Home Depot's corperate liability insurances has done their best to wash their hands of this matter, and has said that Home Depot is NOT LIABLE, and owe my Father nothing.
All we want is for my Dad's health to continue to improve, and for him to be able to eat and put on some weight! Any help is beyond appreciated and an absolutel blessing!
