Stereo Chickens Getting Ready To Take Flight!

If you’re reading this, odds are that you are already a fan of Stereo Chickens! We have more than 12,000 fans worldwide and they are affectionately known as ‘Cluckers’. Our recent video clips from various live performances have garnered over 600,000 views to date.

We want to invite YOU to be part of our journey. We have already started working on our album and our first three songs and are now reaching out to our fans for help financing this project. We are offering some amazing and unique rewards for partnering with us.

Last fall we signed a multi-year management deal with Nashville manager Cathy Nakos (who has worked with some of the biggest stars in country music). More recently, LA producer Gary Lux took us under his wing. Gary has worked with many of the top artists in music including Sting, Ben Harper, Keith Urban, Norah Jones, Rob Thomas, Hootie & The Blowfish etc.

More about Gary: garyluxmusic.com

Gary has already started working with us on our first three songs and will be producing the entire album. We are blessed to be working with a guy who is truly one of the best in the industry. And he is on fire for this project!

We are doing this record in two phases with three songs each. We are seeking to raise $15k for the recording and mastering of the first three songs. Once we’ve completed that, we will be recording three more songs with an additional $15k needed.

If you are already following our journey, you’ll know that we are not in our twenties anymore. The three of us (Tom, Cynthia and Ken) have each spent our whole lives striving, learning and doing to become the best singers, songwriters and musicians we could be. If you’ve heard us, you’ll know that the planets have aligned for us as our individual voices have collectively blended into a unique sound and style. We are Americana, a mix of country, bluegrass, gospel, folk and classic rock. But more than that, we are Stereo Chickens.

The best thing about this genre of Americana music is that you don’t have to be young to achieve success. The playing field is wide open. And we believe it’s never too late to fulfill your dreams- we are ready to prove that. We liken it to Morgan Freeman’s career. Most people don’t realize that he didn’t make his first feature film until he was in his fifties. And the music industry is filled with many success stories of artist and songwriters who weren’t SPRING CHICKENS when their careers took off (Willie Nelson and Leonard Cohen for instance). Truthfully we’ve been preparing for this our entire lives. So...please join us in the growing revolution against ageism in the music industry!

In the time we’ve been together, we’ve been fortunate enough to have put together an amazing team. And we’ve been out on the road touring state and county fairs and festivals, wineries and listening rooms. We are road warriors. And now, with your help, we are ready to be studio warriors as well.

ABOUT THE SONGS
With age hopefully comes wisdom!  Each member of Stereo Chickens knows that music is a powerful tool for communication and social change.  In fact, the two original songs written for our EP reflect our hopes for making the world a wiser, more harmonious place through our contributions.  And we feel honored that you might be part of that too!

'Brothers In Arms' is timely, powerful anthem that reflects on the most challenging historical periods of division in America, from the Civil War to Civil rights - to our current situation in America.  It is a call for unity and brotherhood in a society that seems to be more divided every day.  Stereo Chickens had the opportunity this past summer to perform 'Brothers In Arms' on the road.  Audience responses were astounding, with listeners being moved regardless of age or political stripe.   The song was written with four writers in a room, including Texas music icon Bob Livingston.

'Great Big Sky' covers a different landscape, one of inspiring open spaces and spiritual epiphanies. We are transported to the vistas of Montana and Wyoming, where a drifter finds her true home in the timeless beauty of the Great Big Sky.  It is a hopeful tribute to the power and sanctity of nature and to the value of finding our place in it all. This piece was co-written with Nashville’s ‪Sarah Darling‬ (also nominee of International Artist Of The Year in Great Britian) and Cheyenne Meadows (along with Ken’s wife Elizabeth McMeans).

Incentives/Rewards
Of course we are not just asking for your help with nothing in return. Lol. We have different incentives for all different levels of financial assistance, from album pre-orders all the way up to hanging with us in the studio and having Stereo Chickens play your house concert or event.
