Step-father Passed Away Suddenly

A few days ago, my step-dad and mother were planning on buying a new house so that they could enjoy their grand children and enjoy life a little more.  Sadly, Don slipped as he was getting into his small SUV and fell.  At the time he didn't know it, but he had ruptured an intestine or possibly even his stomach, we're not sure.  That was Saturday afternoon. early this morning Don Turner passed away from the ensueing infection that was a result of this rupture.  Mom had to call EMS last night because he started talking out of his head and acting oddly.  When he started turning grey and feeling extremely bad, she had no choice.  Don was just recovering from a fall, at least that's what everyone thought.   Don was a strong and determined man and he was also stubborn.  He would not go to the doctor on his own and tried to hide his pain and it cost him his life this time.  He passed away apparently without any life insurance that we can find.  Mom is now in the process of planning a funeral instead of a move.   Any help would be appreciated during this difficult time.
