Mi nombre es Leisy Carbajales. Estoy recaudando dinero para mi mama Magali Moreira, tiene Esclerosis Múltiple y lleva 20 años en una silla de ruedas. Ella no puede caminar, alimentarse, cepillarse los dientes, peinarse el pelo. Ella no es capaz de hacer nada por sí misma. Mi papa siempre ha estado ahí para ella, ayudándola a lograr todas las actividades de la vida diaria, y cualquier cosa que ella necesita.

Se probó en muchas personas con EM, y los resultados fueron sorprendentes, muchos de ellos volvieron a trabajar, se casaron, tuvieron hijos, pudieron tener una vida normal de nuevo, como una segunda oportunidad para ser felices. Me puse en contacto con la Sociedad Nacional de Esclerosis Múltiple en Florida, y descubrí que estan reclutando personas para este estudio, y se va a realizar aquí mismo en Coconut Creek, FL. La única parte triste de esto es que el costo total de esto es $ 17.000, y esa es la razón por la que estoy recaudando fondos, para que mi mamá pueda tener una vida normal como todos los demás, sin depender de nadie para hacer sus cosas, ¿te imaginas ni siquiera ser capaz de comer por ti mismo? Desearía que su vida pudiera ser mucho más fácil, e incluso la de mi papá, él hace todo por ella.

My name is Leisy Carbajales. I am raising money for my mother Magali Moreira, she has Multiple Sclerosis, and has been in a wheelchair for 20 years. She is not able to walk, feed herself, brush her teeth, comb her hair. She is not able to do anything by herself. My dad has always been there for her, helping her achieve all daily living activities, and anything that she needs.
Recently we found out about a study going on in Canada, it's name is immunoablation and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (IAHSCT). It was tested on many people with MS, and the results were amazing, many of them went back to work, married, had kids, they were able to have a normal life again, like a second oportunity to be happy. I contacted the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on Florida, and found out they recruiting people for this study, and it's been done right here in Coconut Creek, FL. The only sad part about this is that the total cost for this is $17,000, and that's the reason why im doing this fundraiser, so that my mom is able to have a normal life like everyone else, without depending on no one to do things for her, can you imagine not even being able to eat by yourself? I wish her life could be so much easier, and even my dad's, he does everything for her.
