Stella the Hair-Tie Bandit

Three days ago, Stella had stopped eating. Sara and I didn't think much of it considering she goes through periods of throwing tantrums about her food. The following days became more concerning as she began to throw up large amounts of rubber hair-ties.

We've always known Stella loved hair-ties, but we were unaware that she has actually been consuming them. We immediately took her to the vet, and that is where the x-rays revealed that her small intestines were full of them. At that point, we were redirecting to the PVSEC for emergency medical treatment. The expenses range upward from $1,500-5000 (The lower end being them trying to remove the hair-ties without surgery, and the higher being with surgery). Unfortunetly, Sara and I were informed that Stella needs surgery to have them removed, and even with financial aid these unforseen costs are tremendously high.

As some of you know, Sara and I are going to New Orleans at the end of Febrauary. Unfortunately, we tried to get the money back to help with the costs, however it is too late. So basically, we are a day late and a buck short.

I know it is a lot to ask, but we would be eternally grateful. I can't knowingly let the little bean go without a fight.
