This is a children's book of a small girl's adventure in the forest encountering different animals and plants that help her to understand and feel how important it is to protect, keep and love the forest. Stella needs you, children and adults alike, to stand with her.
Background – Why this book?
This children's book will help the readers understand that we are a part of nature and that humans depend on it for our survival and vice versa, that nature is alive and life giving. It is call to protect nature, in particular forests. To my knowledge that is a unique message, and a very urgent one as well. The main character of the book. Stella speaks to different beings that cross her path as she goed to the forest by herself. She learns about overcoming fear, dreaming and transformation, confidence, frustration and worry, zooming-out and working together. Together this helps Stella to commit to protect the forest, when she learns the forest will be cut down. She calls on all the children to protect and love the forest with her. Will you?

Budget – break-down of the costs
The amount you see here is calculated for 300 books. However, I will print them in bulks of 25, to make sure that you will have your book in December.
For 300 books the printing costs are 2000 euro (6,67 euro per book). However, the price per book is a little bit higher when printing less books. Therefore, we sell the book at €11.
Please do not forget to leave your email! I'll need to contact you for your address, so I can send you the book when it is ready. If you only want to support and not get the book, please clarify that, so I know.
Biographies
Nina and Kym are on opposite locations of the planet: Greece/Netherlands and Australia, but they both care about deforestation! They met through a facebook page for people interested in a more beautiful world and worked out this beautiful book, so you can enjoy the story with lively illustrations!
Nina Koevoets (author)
Nina loves writing and loves stories. She's passionate about changing what she sees as a 'violent' attitude towards life to a loving and supporting attitude. Most of her work is peace education, giving information and practices to resolve conflict and build peace with onself, each other and nature. Initially the story of Stella was about the interconnectedness of nature and humans, yet it evolved into a story about the importance to keep our forests, as she learned about deforestation and its devastating effects.
Kym Patten (illustrator)
I am from a small rural town Victoria, Stanhope, Australia and working in a creative field has forever been a dream of mine. Drawing has always been my thing and I love following my passion to see where it takes me. And here I am taking on Ninas excellent project. Being passionate about our environment and how we treat our planet in these times of climate change, i am very proud to be a part of the book. Our younger generation will be much wiser environmentalists!
