Formerly known as ‘Walkathon’, the St. Bede Stampede promises to keep the tradition! Here’s a little history:
Those were the days… St. Bede’s Walkathon has been around for 20+ years! We, past and present faculty and students, have loved this! Our 8th grade teacher, who has since deservingly retired, Mrs. Curran, spearheaded this event, ran it for all of those years and raised amazing amounts of money ($20,000+ each year) for things needed at the school.
In the past years, the classrooms used to “challenge” another classroom in raising money. This included fun and harmless shenanigans, which were supervised by the teachers. It was a great atmosphere and the kids ALWAYS had a blast! Will that happen this year? We don’t know… J
What a great way for the school to raise money without selling merchandise while promoting physical activity, school spirit and FUN!
It is our intention to keep this event around FOREVER but this year, we thought to rejuvenate it a little! We hope you like the additions!
Every dollar counts! Your donations and support of St. Bede Stampede will help in these areas:
educational classroom items, online textbook access licenses, and so much more.
Our principal, Mrs. Strang, has agreed to go on the roof of the school if we meet our goal of $20,000! Let's make this happen.
