Stay True Philadelphia Food Drive

Stay True is a Philadelphia based non-profit dedicated to offering underprivileged, at-risk, youth the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become powerful agents of change within their communities. Students participate in a variety of volunteer service work throughout the city. From feeding homeless, to park and street cleanups, and caring for neglected and abused animals, student's learn how to tackle the issues facing their city head on. Along with community engagement, students learn from local artists how to express themselves in a variety of new mediums. They are also given the opportunity to travel to exciting places in and outside of the city limits, which expands the worldview of these youth.

Stay True's program culminates in a student designed and executed final project. By combining what they have learned through service, the arts, and explorations, students are able to dream up innovative ways to make an impact in the city of Philadelphia. Through your support their dreams can become a reality.

The 2018 Stay True students are currently leading a Food Drive to help those in the Philadelphia community who are in need.  The students set a goal to collect 5,000 non-perishable food items to eventually distribute throughout their communities. They are working to gain the help and support from friends, family, neighbors, schools and local businesses in an effort to get as much of their own communities involved in helping as possible.

By donating to this fundraiser, you would be helping Stay True:

1.) Create the flyers and other materials needed to promote their Food Drive

2.) Purchase non-perishable food items to complete their goal

3.) Further grow and develop the Stay True program for future students
