Standing with Jimmie

We are a group of mams and dads from Jimmie's school looking to help by raising much needed funds for his treatment. We are looking for sponsorship to do a 5km run on the 29th of August in Portmarnock. Here is Jimmies story... Jimmie is a beautiful little boy from Coolock in Dublin. He is 3 years of age. To those of us who know and love him he is and always has been the most kind and loving little boy with a lust for life and of course Paw Patrol. In March 2019 our world was turned upside down when Jimmie was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that forms in soft tissue. Jimmie has a 7cm tumour in a very complex area between the base of his neck and cheek, known as the infratemporal fossa. To complicate things further Crumlin have confirmed that they have never seen a tumour in this location in Ireland before in our lifetimes and they don’t know what to do. Jimmie has completed 5 rounds of Chemotherapy so far and needs many more. To see how chemotherapy affects a little body like Jimmies is nothing short of savage. We are all distraught over what Jimmie has endured to date. As there is no treatment available in Ireland, we have reached out to many hospitals worldwide to desperately seek their help. Just to throw another spanner in the works, Jimmie is due to become a big brother in less than 4 weeks time. At an extremely helpless time, the only support we can offer is emotional and financial. We need to be ready to go anywhere in the world at the drop of a hat to get our beautiful boy treated. *****UPDATE 20/08/19***** Jimmie and his parents left for Germany yesterday morning for 3 days and will be moving over in 2 weeks to start his treatment. They will have to leave their brand new baby daughter Phoebe behind, heartbreaking but the family are extremely grateful to everyone donating and helping Jimmie fight this battle.
