Stand for Audrey as she has always done for us

As some of you may be aware, Musqueam warrior, environmentalist, MMIW advocate and community leader, Audrey Siegl, has suffered consecutive extreme loss, grief and trauma.
To qualify, this is not counting the intergenerational indigenous trauma of surviving colonialism and the acute situational trauma of her own life as an indigenous woman.
Audrey has had two full years of unimaginable sadness.
During her 2+ yr time working as a healer and helper to some of Turtle Island's most grief stricken communities, her mother & sister died of fentanyl poisoning. After the loss of her mother, almost 2yrs to the day, Audrey’s only beloved sibling, her sister and best friend died of Fentanyl poisoning.
These bookend deaths of the closest women in her family, along with other complications and traumas that have fallen on her, have made us recognize that we need to step up and offer supports at this time.
Audrey has been the visible and actionable leader of multiple rallies & movements and is a renowned speaker and advocate. We have many battles ahead where her energy is needed.
We ask people to dig deep and give back to Audrey for the myriad of ways she has fearlessly and lovingly continued to support us, all of us, as we rise to protect women and the water and land.
Literally, any amount that you can share would serve to illuminate and affirm that Audrey’s years of sacrifice and community stewardship has not gone unnoticed and or unappreciated .
Audrey has always supported herself and on top of that, has done thousands of volunteer hours. She has never asked for personal support before.
This is being done on her behalf, with her permission, by her community who love and support her. We want nothing more than for her to be able to rest, heal and get whatever treatments/supports she may need during her acute grief.
As per GoFundme's requests for transparency, i need to include that I, Sara Cadeau , reside in the Vancouver area and am in daily contact with Audrey as her friend. Also, she has requested and fully authorised me to administer this account's funds to 1) directly pay for anything related to her healing or 2) personal and household needs as she discerns and see's fit and requests. The process of transfer of funds will be accounted for and is seen as gifted from the community. I am fully accountable to both Audrey and the community we both serve, who raised this money for her healing time and needs.
Her expenses will be paid by me whenever possible and will be given to her directly at her request and documented between us internally. The total raised and amount is openly available to her and the community who raised it, visible through this forum.
As i mentioned in the "update" the account and my role as an administrator remain completely transparent to Audrey and the community we both serve.
