Stand by Stacie & Samantha
Donation protected
Shortly after Samantha was born, my niece Stacie was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease. It was a devastating blow for the family. HD is a progressive degenerative nerve disease that causes the person to lose control of motor functions. She has had to travel to Boston for the past 10 years for treatment.
Stacie and Samantha are very close, as a mother and daughter should be. Stacie has been an active participant in Sam’s life and they have made some wonderful memories together. To keep this normality in Sam’s life and to keep Stacie in her home, modifications need to be made to the house. She needs to move her bedroom to the first floor; there are none there currently. She also needs a bathroom on the first level with handicap access.
It will cost an estimated $6,000 for this work. Please consider making a donation to help make this happen. No amount is too small. Your generosity and caring donations will be deeply appreciated.
