Stand with our hero, Felix Martinez

My Dad, Felix Martinez was in the Army and served as a tunnel rat in Vietnam.  He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for having been credited with saving the life of his wounded commanding sergeant and three other fallen comrades.  He saw his comrades pinned  down by enemy fire and unable to move because of their wounds. He rushed to their aid and according to the citation, "disregarding his own safety, he set down a heavy base of suppressive fire, killing four of the enemy." His action enabled the wounded men to be evacuated by helicopter.
My Dad has a very hard time talking about Vietnam and his action while serving. He is a very proud American soldier.  He has his American flag up in front of his house and honors that flag every single day. My Dad is truly an American hero.
Several months ago my dad was diagnosed with  esophagael cancer.  Doctors seem to think it was from Agent Orange that was used during the Vietnam war.   He received Chemo and Radiation but the cancer has since spread to his brain. He has received two brain surgeries to remove two tumors and  will now receive radiation for five more tumors in his brain. My Dad who has fought for his country is now fighting for his life against cancer.  It is very hard to see a man that has so much pride deteriorate but through it all he continues  to be positive and take care of his family.
Just recently I asked my Dad if he had his life in order in case the time came and he was unable to fight anymore.  He advised me that he had insurance that will cover everything. He advised me that he wanted to make sure my mom was going to be ok. I looked at him and advised him he had nothing to worry about Mom will be okay. The look of relief I got from him was breath taking.  At that moment I knew I had to help my Dad make life a little easier for Mom.  I asked how much was owed on their mortgage and he advised me $18,000.  He related that life will be simplier for Mom if she didnt have to pay the rest of the mortgage.  I told Dad not to worry about it I will think of something.
I decided on a gofundme page to raise the $18,000 to help Dad and Mom. The money raised will go directly to pay off their mortage. I am hoping to raise the money within two months. I would forever be grateful for any donation you can help us with.  If I can make my Dad worry less about Mom It would mean the world to me.  Thank you in advance for your help and please say a prayer for my Dad.
