HUMANITARIAN CRISIS, PLEASE HELP ♥️

A category 4 hurricane made landfall in Puerto Rico on Wednesday, September 20th with winds of about 155 mph (nearly strong enough to be considered a Category 5). Hurricane Maria tore through the island before weakening to a Category 2 storm. The natural disaster brought torrential rain, flooding and knocked out power to the entire island.

Being far from my family during this historic situation in Puerto Rico was one of the worst experiences of my life. Seeing the devastation in the news and the inability to help prompted me to start a fundraising campaign to help my beautiful family and island.

According to the National Weather Service, as Hurricane Maria passed the entire island saw persistent and intense rain that quickly accumulated. Caguas, which is located in the central mountains, saw about 37.9 inches of rain. Where as, most of the island had around 20 inches of rainfall.
Caguas, Puerto Rico is in the heart of the island and also in my heart. A place where I was born and raised with so many fond memories of my childhood.

With the island expected to go without power for months, Puerto Rico now needs our help. The road to recovery will be long, and we need to stand by our families during these trying times.

Your help will go directly to those families in this community and local charities to help purchase supplies such as generators, batteries, candles, lanterns, matches, lighter, food, water, toiletries, hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes, baby/adult diapers, baby wipes, baby supplies, pet food, mosquito repellent, first aid and building supplies.
