We are excited to announce Stampy's debut album! It is nearly complete, but we need some help from our fans.
Our journey began in October 2015 at a light-hearted jam session where we shared some original material with one another. Right from the first rehearsal we felt there was something special with our lineup and sound.
Our recording process began at Treehouse Records in Chicago, IL, a studio known for working with artists like Local H, Twin Peaks, Cage the Elephant, The Heard, and many more, where we recorded for roughly 70 hours. We were fortunate enough to use their famous Trident Audio recording console that, in the past, had been used by artists like Queen, Pink Floyd (during the sessions for The Wall), KISS, and even Keith Richards. We were able to track our album to tape, allowing us to achieve that warm, classic sound that so many of our favorite bands had previously created. We are now working alongside legendary Chicago producer Fred Breitberg on the mixing, mastering and production process to finalize our album. Fred has worked with so many wonderful artists including Aretha Franklin, Curtis Mayfield, Natalie Cole, Johnny Winter, Neil Diamond, Neil Young, and even the 1985 Chicago Bears when he recorded the platinum selling Super Bowl Shuffle. We are excited that someone of Fred's caliber believes in us and wants to help turn our dream into a reality.
