Stallone’s Surgery

Donation protected
We welcomed Stallone to our family in November. He has filled us all with so much joy in these past few months.  He is full of energy, and loves playing tug of war. His favorite game is keep away. Keep away from anyone who will chase him. If he doesn’t have his collar on it’s nearly impossible. He is one of the quickest, smartest agile dogs I have never met.

Stallone just turned 8 months. He just underwent a neuter and herniated belly button repair on Thursday. He was starting to feel spunky again!  Brock brought him out to go potty on Sunday afternoon, he was right back at it. You can’t catch me!!!  Brock too off after him. He hit a small hill of woodchips and let out a houl we hadn’t heard before. After assessing the situation, his shoulder looked dislocated. We brought him to the Emergency pet hospital. After several hours, lots of tears, 4 phone charges, van picnic, vending machine dinner we were told he has suffered a severe break that would require surgery.  They estimated somewhere between $5000-6000 with no complications. He has fractured his distal numerous bone. The surgery will be several hours, requiring screws, plates and pins for sure. The recovery will be very long, but he feels confident he would recover fully. We as a family would like to consider getting his leg fixed, instead of amputation. Please help us give Stallone the life he so deserves.   Anything and everything means the world to us, but especially for my kids.

Sincerely
The Higginbotham’s.
