Stage 2 Prostate Cancer
Donation protected
My name in Don Jeffries, I am a father's of 4 beautiful girls, grandfather of 1 girl and 4 boys, with other one coming in May. I am also a friend to many and an football coach to a lot of player's.
I recently have been diagnosed with Stage 2 Prostate cancer. After having all the necessary tests done, I opted to start with Hormone Therapy and I recieved my injection on February 27th. Hormone Therapy decreases the amount of testoserone in your body. Testoserone feeds cancer so it is better to eliminate it for awhile. The bone scan revealed that as of yet it has not spread at this point. The radiation markers were put in place. In my case, the less expensive option of radiation seeds can not be used because my cancer has formed on the outside of the prostate. That being said, I will be recieving 7 to 9 weeks of radiation 5 days a week. Once the treatments are over, I have to have another set of scans to determine if the cancer is gone.
Unfortunately I am unable to work right now and i am layoff, but just found out that i cant get unemployment anymore because i am not able or available to work because of this and was told to apply for SSDI and i have but my meeting is not until Mach 21. With the been said my checking and saving account it running dry and bills are still coming in. I never thought I would be in this position at this time in my lives.
Any donation you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Prayers would also be appreciated.
Thank you
