First of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking part in this campaign.
The main objective of this fundraising is to extend help and support to San Roque National High School (SRNHS) towards IT learning, technology advancement and improved classroom facility. The school is located in Paombong Bulacan Philippines and has a population of 1,803 high school students. In order to accommodate this large number of students in a small area, they had to run classes for two shifts; morning and afternoon.
We all know that technology is fast moving and changing, however, SRNHS does not have enough capability to support their teachers and students. The teachers at SRNHS are in need of tools and equipment to help them further improve the way they teach and adapt to the new ways of learning.
Nowadays, in most parts of the world, teachers have a variety of ways to present and teach their students (using SmartTV, computers and internet among others). They use the latest tools, applications, and technology to make teaching and learning more interesting, up-to-date and interactive.
SRNHS needs our help. At the moment, they only have a few computers available to teach thousands of students about computer basics. Some of these computers were donated by Alex and me about 5 or so years ago. Their computer laboratories are also not air-conditioned. They also lack TV screens to help the teachers improve their way of teaching. With your help - big or small, we can help these students improve their learning in Information Technology.
Your donation will be able to help us purchase the following:
- 5 units of 42 inches Smart TV. To be installed in the computer room, library, and 3 other classrooms.
- 2 laptops. To be allocated to teachers for presentations.
- 2 units of an air conditioner for their computer room
- 10 Ceiling Fans
It is SRNHS' 30th anniversary this year! Let’s help them celebrate this milestone by contributing towards improving their computer laboratory and the provision of equipment for their teachers. They have continuously changed the life of many students thru education. All of this would not be possible without the amazing teachers and help they are continually getting from the community.

“Smart TV and computer nowadays is a great help for the instructors and students as well. Teaching and learning situation can be best achieved if the means of learning transfer is effective and interesting. The traditional chalk and board materials for school are so less appealing for the learning. The introduction of new technology to the classroom is so helpful in increasing the students' interest to learn more. In addition, the application of new learning techniques in this generation is so technical that the inclusion of the information from the internet is needed to support the transfer of learning and this is where the smart tv will do a lot of help for the teachers and students alike.”

“Smart TV and computers can be used for interactive language teaching since it can connect classrooms. I think it can be useful for translation courses because teachers and students can access tutorials and presentations through the Internet without anymore going through copying and saving process. Smart TV can properly guide teachers and students better in their Internet use to maximize teaching and learning. “

We study because we want to learn. We go to school because we want to know, all of the things we need in this world because we believe, it can help us, it can help to achieve the cleaner version of me. That’s the reason why until today I continue to study, I browse the book, I search the Web and everything that can be searched just to look for knowledge that must be supplanted in my mind, together with the perseverance in performance that makes the overall character of me complete, pursuing the study which I want to attain. But it is evident to us that education is not only confined in just classrooms and books, because as time pass all of these becomes obsolete and not be suitable for students in different circumstances, making the quality of education poor. In that way, SMART TV significance enters because, through it, we can get fresh and interesting information every day. Just by viewing and listening, we can get what we truly need in our study in a way that is interesting, that’s how powerful it is in our study, and the changes it brings makes a lot effective in our study, aiding us in our way of completing ourselves."
