A fairwell to Daniel Wolanski

Donation protected
It is with incredible sadness that on Monday April 20th, 2015 we lost Daniel Wolanski to his intense battle with heroin. He is survived by his mother, Lisa Wolanski, his father Michael Wolanski and his sister Alyssa Wolanski.

Anyone who ever met Daniel was taken instantly by his heartfelt smile and quick sense of humor. He brought life everywhere he went. Daniel made a lot of good choice in life, and he made some very bad ones as well.

Unfortunately a day came that Daniel was introduced to a very dark path which brings us to where we are today. Daniel struggled for years against and with heroin. Countless times through clear eyes he wanted to so desperately stop, but the strength of the addiction like for most, was too big of a burden to bare, and on that day the addiction defeated Daniel in a most devastating way.

He was a kind and fun spirited young man and we don't want to leave his memory as such which is why we are choosing to celebrate the life he had and the love he shared with many in his time on this earth.

Heroin does not destroy just a person, it devastates an entire family, it brings entire communities to their knees with grief, and it leaves a path of total destruction that cannot be rebuilt. If you are breathing, you still have a choice.

The unplanned expenses without life insurance are only the beginning of the fallout from a heroin overdose, and the victim of heroin extends far beyond the user. Please help his parent alleviate some of this burden and show the world that we ARE a strong community and we ARE tired of dealing with an epidemic that has an absolute cure.

If this heroin epidemic or any other addiction has impacted your life, or you know and love Daniel Wolanski, or know and love any of the Wolanski’s, please donate so the family can focus on grieving and not all of the unplanned expenses.

After all is said and done and the path to healing begins Lisa, Alyssa, and Michael Wolanski as well as anyone that chooses to get involved will be bringing this fight to the community. People need to be educated, parents need to know the signs, friends need to know that it is OK to say something to someone about it, the community is at war and have no ammunition.

All extra funds as well as their own will be used to start a campaign in Daniel's name to help as many people as possible fight their addiction to heroin in the hopes that other family’s will never have to walk down this road that is way too frequently travelled.
