INTRODUCING MYSELF
Hi my name is Jacqueline originally from Brazil and also an Australian Citizen. I have been living in Arugam Bay, a small village in the East of Sri Lanka, since May 2017.
WHY RAISING MONEY
We will have a vet arranged to come from Ampara, town located about 70 kms from Arugam Bay. The vet will give the animals vaccines and operate them so they stop having new puppies/kitten. Obviously we do not want to extinct animals from this area but control as the number of puppies and kittens raises uncontrollably.
ISSUES
*There are lots street dogs and cats in Arugam Bay. Most of them look quite unhealthy due to lack of nutrition and care developing skin problems and some even sick. I will post some photos.
*Unfortunately some animals ended up with broken legs and serious injuries from being bashed or hit in the traffic (we are not sure). There are no vets available in the area and the animals struggle on the streets. It is a very serious and sad situation.

Ps. The white dog with injuried eye and broken leg is always around our place. We believe she has been bashed by someone. We are looking after her and the cost will be paying by us. This is just an example of what happened with some of the dogs in this area.
