Sr. Del's Golden Jubilee

I am writing to ask for your help to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Sr. Delouise Menges with the Sisters of St. Francis.
Sr. Delouise has been at St. Veronica School, teaching middle school English, since 1984 and at Our Lady of Victory from 1971 to 1984 for an educational career of 46 years! During those 46 years, I know that Sr. Del touched many lives with her special brand of caring, toughness, and high expectations. In the three years I have known her, many of her past students have come back to say what an impact she had, not only on their educational future, but on their lives as a whole.
Sr. Del opened the world up to many students and now we would like to give the world back to her. We are creating this Go Fund Me page to provide a trip(s) of a lifetime for her and a companion. It will also give people a place to write comments to show their appreciation.
We are trying to reach as many past students and families as possible to allow them a chance to tell Sr. Del what she meant to them. We are planning a celebration on Sunday, April 30th at the 9:30 Mass at St. Veronica, followed by a reception in the school cafeteria. This is a surprise celebration and hopefully will remain so.
We also want to encourage students and families to come to the celebration and/or to write and send letters and cards that will be given to her that day. All mailings can be sent to:
