Eigege: Community Chaplaincy Fund

Donation protected
Dear friends,

In July, 2015, I started working as a Community Chaplain in Houston's historic Third Ward. I work to encourage, equip, and connect people of good faith and good will, for the purpose of social and spiritual renewal in the Third Ward.

I am called to do this work by the Christian Reformed Church in North America . As a missionary, I am considered self-employed and responsible to raise my personal financial support, as well as ministry costs.

My goal is to raise $50,000 by April 30, 2016. Below is a breakdown of how the money will be used.

1. $30,000- Personnel Costs: This money is earmarked to help me take care of my Personnel Costs, which include some of my salary, health insurance for our family, and legal fees to apply for the renewal of my Religious worker's visa (R1 Visa).

2. $20,000- The BluePrint Project: Our ministry owns a small piece of property in Houston's historic Third Ward. We want to establish an intentional living community that focuses on Educational Justice, Leadership Formation, and Community Transformation.

We plan to use $10,000 to demolish the existing building on the property, which is structurally unsound and unfit for a remodelling.

We plan to use the other $10,000 to hire an architect who will help us dream about a future space that will help shape this ministry.

Please join us on this journey of making our vision for social and spiritual renewal in our neighborhood a reality!
