Here we are again.  So many of you have given to the  journey that created our family.

An opportunity has come to us that we did not expect, but is beautiful and a gift.  It has it's own financial mountain to climb and we planned on climbing a lot of it ourselves, but life...(smile).  Financially funds that are typically here are not, delayed, or in limbo.

We ask you to prayerfully consider another journey with us.

Max, Anna, and Thomas are traveling to a Christian Youth Camp in Eastern Europe, the historical country our son Max was born in.   There they will serve as either counselors or aids.

It is a part of us, as it is a part of Max.

To have the opportunity to serve this way and through our Church? To have a chance to love children and teens with the love of God?  Oh our hearts ache!   We ask you consider giving toward this mission which will prayerfully plant seeds of God.

Thank you all for joining us in a way we could never have imagined, but are VERY thankful for!!!!

(We had hoped to start fundraising much earlier for this summer mission trip, but we had a passport issue and felt we could not fundraise until it was resolved.  Finally, as of today, it was, with the help of some government officials and our VERY big GOD!)

The total we are raising is based on what each individual (Thomas, Max, and Anna) needs to raise.  It is also based on the funds that are taken out on this giving platform.
Thomas needs to raise $2000.
Anna needs to raise $1,500
Max needs to raise $1,500
The extra $200 is for fees to this platform.

If you wish to give in a tax deductible way (VERY much available) or find out more detailed information, you can contact us at [email redacted]

If you are local and wish to hire a teen to aid them to raise the funds, contact me (  [email redacted]  ).  Anna babysits and animal sits.  She can help with painting, yard work, and spring chores.  Max is great at heavy labor, painting, and yardwork.  They both have experience with the elderly and with household chores.

Personal Perspective on Short Term Mission Trips and Their Value in the Life of a Child~
There are those that see short term missions as a negative thing...teaching others to be dependent.  We have unique perspective as an adoptive family.

Before many of us could reach our children, others may have come to love on them.  Others may have come to help them know the love of God, even for a brief period.  They may taken them out of a crib or a metal shed, even for a minute and showed them what love is.  I will never view that as a negative.  I have seen the trauma from neglect and abuse brought home.

I remember being at the mental institution where Ben lived and Jonathan died.  We would pass these grown men~children and smile at them and SEE them, sometimes we would be able to touch a shoulder or hand.  The light from their eyes! They were SEEN.

It's not about all of us being this great savior.  It's about love, brokenness, and making ANY difference we can in the hours we've been given on this earth.

Max, Anna, and Thomas are going to serve...yes...but they are also going to love.  Thank you for joining them in doing this.
