My Story
In 2013, there were two guys sitting on break at Apple Inc. laughing about computers hooked up together to generate Bitcoin. I was fascinated by this concept and believed it to be bigger than the internet itself. At the time I was courting my now wife so I went part time to dive deep into this crypto world.
Millions have watched me put blue plastic crates together to create my first miner. Within 30 days, we had 3 clients from all over the US building rigs for them to mine. I moved the idea from an apartment room in Virgina Beach to a barn in northern Kentucky. A huge crash happened so I shut down operation to study more about this technology.
Over the years, I watched as hundreds of thousands of people lost millions to cloud mining operations. It was discussed that the companies so willing took advantage of a space with no regulation and essentially stole millions by hyping that people would generate passive income while they sat back and took huge cuts or didn't pay out at all.
I was determined to build this the correct way. With my friends Jack and Caleb we created a home miner that you could own, put it in the corner of the room or under the couch and keep 100% of the profits. When creating our prototype, we quickly realized this would take millions to fund our start up. I was now married to my sweetheart and living with our dog in Virginia. Underground, like shown in the video, we were generating income for clients once again. All I had was few cards left over from 2013 and any extra parts friends donated to me. I wanted to take this to the next level so badly, but with no funding I shut down again and replanned.
2017 explosion
Completing over 5 years at Apple Inc. paying for my hobby out of pocket, I asked my buddy if he could fund me a few thousand to my next idea and start selling miners in homes but remote into them. He agreed and I began. I designed the placement of the unit on the crate for optimal airflow and space. We sold to friends and coworkers in the area. Some mentioned how they wanted bigger rigs remotely. I was filming this happening live on YouTube and it was going well. A crossroads was upon me. Stay at my strong job at Apple Inc. or venture out with no money into a startup on a technology most people do not even understand. At the same time, my wife had just told me she was pregnant with our first child and, being a teacher, would most likely not be going back to work after the baby was born. So I did it. I resigned from Apple with only the money in my pocket to start Digital Gold with my pregnant wife living off of income from YouTube and knowing rent was too high. So I needed to move.
We moved into an RV days before our first was born. The baby came very early and started needing to be on breathing help. Then baby wouldn't eat so baby needed a tube from his nose to his stomach. Then baby had a heart murmur. All things completely unplanned. I was jumpstarting this company, hosting rigs in a buddy's basement, and praying that my wife and kid would be ok.
Soon our small baby was free and healthy. My wife, however, needed surgery and would be recovering for some time. We moved back to KY to live with my mom so she could rest and heal. Clients on the other hand were pouring in. I had to move out of the basement as there was no room and expand to the barn in Kentucky once again. Within a month we were growing so fast we moved everything from the basement 3 states away to the barn and went on a search for a bigger place.
The Bitbunker
This was the creation of all that was Digital Gold. 30 clients from around the world keeping 100% of their profits generating passive income like the rich and finally an investment the common man could afford. The support was tremendous! We gained hundreds of thousands and spent it right back to keep it going-- until the crash. My life was poured into this and as things were closing I found out terrific news once again. My wife was pregnant with our second. However, I cannot afford to keep the operation going. We don't have a house, we don't own fancy cars, we don't have millions invested into Bitcoin. I am just a regular guy with a dream 5 years in the making that one day, in as fast as it came true, was gone.
Why me?
Looking back, I see that if only I had the funds in 2013, we would have survived this. Who knows how many jobs I could have created, who knows how much we would have donated, helped those with less than us generate their own way to have income. For me, it's not about a sale or a client. It's not about being the biggest or most popular. For me, I want you right there where you sit or stand reading this to have a way to generate income for yourself and your family. I believe with just any donation you give I will be able to create this with my plan. Prove to me and the world that we don't need billionaires to fund dreams.
