Hi, My name is Spooky I am a 12 year old Westminster Champion bloodline Weimaraner .
I have been having this issue on an off when mommy takes me out to go to the bathroom all of a sudden red blood just poured out of me and this popped out.
Normally will go back in within 1 day and will not happen for months . But lately it has been happening very often and staying out longer.
It started again on ThanksGiving Day while mommy was cooking Thanksgiving dinner and today makes the 3rd day that it has been out and now making it harder for me to do my business . It is the worst it has been and I am so scared. My mom needs to sit with me around the clock to make sure I don't distrub it. I need 24/7 attention . My mom has had 2-3 hours sleep in the last 2 days and now we are in day 3.
Mom took me to the Vet and the Vet told her they can not Help me that she has to take me to a Urgent Care specialist for this.
My mom Spoke to the Surgeon directly on the phone on Friday at the Veterinary Specialist Urgent care hospital .
She was very knowledgeable and informative. She advised mom that an older dog my age 12 don't normally get a rectal prolapse and of coarse without seeing me she don't know what is is. Other possibilities could be Enlarged prostrate or a Mass /Tumor that grew large and may protrude out .
My mom needs Help financially to make me better.
Unfortunately they do not offer payment plans and mom will need to pay.
The cost is$145 to have a consultation to see me if she can exam me without sedation to see what’s going on . If they have to sedate me it will be at least another $100 plus an Ultra sound and Xrays and other tests needed to see whats going on . The approx cost of my care and surgery options to correct the problem if it can be corrected. Just depending what needs to be done the cost will vary and can be anywhere between approx $1000 - $3000 +.......
My specialist consulataion appointment is on Monday November 27th at 11am.
She will need to pay $145 for visit and if they have to sedate me it will be at least another $100 plus an Ultra sound and Xrays and other tests needed to see whats going on.
We will know more after my appointment. I want to get better.
