Hello Sisters!
If we haven't met, my name is Rie Ma, and I am the captain of the Reproductive Rights and Justice Team here at DWC. I also volunteer with the Planned Parenthood of New York City Action Fund Activist Council, a dedicated group of over 1,000 volunteers. Every summer, we throw a cocktail party fundraiser for PPNYC: Summer, Sex & Spirits. On June 27th, at Broad Street Ballroom, we will host live music, entertainers, a silent auction and open bar with light snacks.
We raise over $40,000 and sell out a crowd of over 500 people, and facing the extreme threats of this year, we are planning to beat all our past work!
Given the work of Downtown Women for Change, I believe that we would be a perfect Supporter of Access Sponsor. If we can collectively raise $500, we will be included in all publicity leading up to the event, growing our group of organized women across 65,000 online supporters and hundreds of attendees. We will also be featured in the signage and materials at the event itself, which will be a perfect recruiting ground!
To sweeten the pot, the $500 level of sponsorship includes 2 VIP tickets: the VIP tickets are valued at $125, and include admission to the event from 8pm - 11pm, an additional hour of cocktails 7pm - 8pm, wine tasting and access to entertainment (in the past, we have had nail art, and fashion portraits), and a gift bag to take home!
All donations of $10 will be considered one chance to win one of the two VIP tickets, so $50 will be 5 chances, $100 will be 10, and so on. (And of course, I'll let everyone know when tickets go on sale!)
Additionally: if we surpass $500, there are higher sponsorship levels that gain us greater recognition, more tickets, and potentially a chance to speak on stage at the party!
