The Spirit of the Horn Legacy Project is a documentation and promotion of NEA Jazz Master, SLIDE HAMPTON.

Led by director and freelance trombonist Peter Lin, as well as co-director and saxophonist Abel Mireles, this project hopes to capture Slide Hampton's life and career through all media outlets .
Your support will directly cover the following costs:
- Slide Hampton Big Band
- Videography / Photography
- Website maintainance
- Concerts featuring Slide Hampton
- Organizing Slide Hampton's music library
- Ability to sell Slide Hampton's scores online
- Other misc. expenses
We hope to reach our goal of $10,000 by our Big Band Concert at Dizzy's Club on September 3rd.
