Spinal Surgery for Lexus

Lexus is a 3 year old miniature dachshund. Like many in this breed, she's begun to have spinal issues. In February and August of 2018, she had sudden onset paralysis in her back legs. This newest episode, xrays were done and she has narrowing in her spinal column, was in severe pain, and the issue has moved up her spine from the first episode. She required an anti inflammatory and pain medication. Thankfully, she recovers quickly, but with her episodes being frequent and her young age, they will continue to happen and will be progressively worse each time. If Lexus were to not recover from an episode, she would need immediate surgery or risk permanent paralysis with each passing day. Lexus now requires spinal surgery in Indianapolis as soon as possible to stop these episodes. The only problem is the surgery costs approximately $3500. Anyone that knows Lexus, knows she has the biggest heart and deserves the best quality of life.
