Spinal Injuries Ireland
Donation protected
My name is Sheena McGrade, and I am walking a mini marathon to raise money for 'Spinal Injuries Ireland'.
I suffered a spinal cord injury myself so I know the importance of great help first hand. I sustained my injury due to an accident in 2004. In 2011 had neck surgery for an anterior cervical disectomy and fusion at C5/C6. Having been an international athlete, representing Ireland, to find myself wheelchair bound was not in my plan.
Since my spinal cord injury I have found Spinal Injuries Ireland to be very supportive to me regarding pain management, helping me to control my pain, not my pain controlling me.
I spent 14 months in hospital due to my injury but now I'm fit and healthy and excited about taking part in the VHI mini marathon on 5th June
Thank you for looking at my page and for any sponsorship donated. It's all for a great cause.
