Spinal Injuries Ireland
I suffered a spinal cord injury myself so I know the importance of great help first hand. I sustained my injury due to an accident in 2004. In 2011 had neck surgery for an anterior cervical disectomy and fusion at C5/C6. Having been an international athlete, representing Ireland, to find myself wheelchair bound was not in my plan.
Since my spinal cord injury I have found Spinal Injuries Ireland to be very supportive to me regarding pain management, helping me to control my pain, not my pain controlling me.
I spent 14 months in hospital due to my injury but now I'm fit and healthy and excited about taking part in the VHI mini marathon on 5th June
Thank you for looking at my page and for any sponsorship donated. It's all for a great cause.
and I am adamant and determined to finish the 10k in aid of SPINAL INJURIES IRELAND. I am most grateful to them for the support they have shown me, and I wish with your sponsorship to help me make my dream come through. I set a goal of €1000 and thanks again to those of you who sponsored me. Please spread the word and share on Facebook and other Platforms you have access to. The gofundme is a secure site, and all donations go directly into SII account.
I'm walking the Mini Marathon for Spinal Injuries Ireland on Monday 5th June, a charity that means a lot to me because of their continuing support for me. I'd really appreciate any donation towards the cause.
I've raised over €800 offline so far and would love if you could help me reach my goal of €1,000.
Thank you for reading and thank you in advance!
