Spencer's Medical Treatments

Donation protected

Spencer has been sick since he graduated high school in May 2015 . He has Neurofibromatosis and learning disabilities.. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor on August 5th . On August 14th 2015 he had a biopsy where it was discovered the tumor is imbedded into his brain and it's a rare stage 4 glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor. The tumor doesn't respond very well to treatments. From the swelling of the surgery his optic nerve was damaged and he lost his eyesight.
In November 2015 the tumor was dying from the radiation treatments. In January 2016 it shrank a little. In march there was no change.  In May the tumor was alive and growing. Took him off chemo and put him on Avastin. In July it was still growing. So they offered chemo with it but only 15% respond, a device called Optune to add a few weeks or Hospice to make his last couple of months more comfortable.  He's still here with us, so we are not giving up. He has Medicaid from disability and most places won't take that. We have to get the money for treatments.
Also being diagnosed with Cancer he can't get regular life insurance. The one he is able to get would be expensve and if he passes away before 2 years they only pay what you have paid in up to that time.
If you can't help that's fine but please share so that others who may be able to help. can help. $5 isn't much but it adds up and makes a difference.
