Your funds will help our program stay tuition free! All money raised goes directly to SPEAK* and toward its operation costs. SPEAK* has a budget of $12,000 for the 2018 girls summer program.
Our Mission
SPEAK* strives to provide an intentional, tight knit community of individuals to explore life through prompts based in various movement, literary, performance, and visual art forms giving them a sense of self, value, and empowerment while creating and sharing their work. When approached with creative exuberance and a willingness to participate, SPEAK* gives participants tools to create collaboratively and strengthen communication with their everyday communities through their original work and Nonviolent Communication (NVC) training. Our hope is that participants will go on to impact the world around them using art and creative self expression, strong communication skills from NVC, self-affirmation, and the ability to approach all communities with mindfulness and our core HEART values: harmony, ease, authenticity, respect, and trust.
